Andrew Underwood

This is the website of Andrew Underwood currently living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I am a Research Technologist in the land reclamation group at the Alberta Innovates: Technology Futures (formerly the Alberta Research Council). I have a BSc degree in Physics/Computing Science from the University of Alberta. I have personal interests in electronics, computers and technology in general.

I was born in the Crowsnest Pass and moved to Cold Lake for 13 years. I moved back to the Crowsnest Pass after grade 11, and after graduating high school went back North to Edmonton for university. I took the fall university semester of 2003 off to and live and work in Edinburgh, Scotland for 6 months.

I’ve been playing the guitar for six years and have acquired three different kinds. One is an electric BC Rich Warlock, then there’s the Regent nylon string classical and also the GK acoustic steel string cutaway. I have no plans for playing in any bands but I do enjoy getting together with other players to jam.

I like photography but I’m not so practiced as my sister Sarah, who is doing quite well with it. I’ve got a gallery going but it runs slow on my server.

I’ve done a fair share of traveling, specifically to:

  • Italy
  • Croatia
  • Slovenia
  • France
  • Holland
  • Scotland
  • England
  • United States

Places I’d like to go to next are:

  • Japan
  • South Korea
  • Australia
  • India
